Raquime Mercer known professionally as “Raq” founded Red Onion Solutions after more than a decade in law enforcement and digital forensics across military installations, municipal police, and a major county sheriff's office. As a Digital Forensic Analyst at Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, Raq examined hundreds of devices for ICAC investigations, homicide cases, and financial fraud matters, and appeared in court to defend those findings under cross-examination.

That courtroom experience is built into how every case is worked here. Evidence is acquired with chain-of-custody discipline from the first touch. Reports are written to survive scrutiny from a defense attorney, a jury, or an insurance fraud examiner. When Raq signs a report, it is because the work backs it up.

Red Onion Solutions is an SDVOSB- and VOSB-registered firm, licensed by Virginia DCJS (99-1026977), and operated by a Purple Heart recipient and Army veteran. The firm's name reflects its core philosophy: things are rarely as they first appear. Getting to the truth requires peeling back the layers.
